Couching Stitch

• Cut a piece of thick thread and lay it where you want to stitch it. Push your needle up from the back, next to the thread.

• Push the needle down on the other side of the thread to make a small straight stitch. This will secure the thick thread.

• Carry on making small stitches over the thicker thread along it's length. Finish off on the back with one or two stitches.
